Thank you for the update! I played it and the new endings are great.
My only gripe is that the new 'sandbox' mode is more like a super easy mode rather than an 'endless' mode, as it doesn't extend the gameplay rounds and so you are still bound to the Performative Review after three level ups, still limiting how many transformations you can actually see.
Bugs:
1.) When against a boss, even though I had more willpower than their will loss stat, it would still say I lost the game. After which I would need to use more willpower to draw cards until it changed will loss to 0 for it to count as a win. Previous version, this was not the case and you would still win with higher willpower>will loss.
2.) I'm unsure exactly what the cause here is, but when in sandbox mode against a boss, I just drew all my cards, setting the deck to 0 cards and amassed a high amount of bimbo cards causing the will loss stat to go to negative. When I tried to use my destroy cards, to remove the bimbo cards, it appeared bugged and wasn't working properly. The same goes for some other cards that required the 'use' function and they just weren't activating. It could be because I had drawn all my cards so it set the the game state to 'loss'? In which case it doesn't allow the abilities to be used any longer.

Thank you very much for the review and those bugs, I’ll take a look!

On the endless mode… yeah, I initially tried to make a proper “endless” mode, but it turned into a huge rabbit hole about what “endless” means. Is it just for seeing transformations? Or all cards? Do you want to level up to see more cards? How? Or do you want to just have a playthrough without worrying about losing? Would endless mean you can face all bosses or none? Is there no win condition? How to restart? In the end, 999 life seemed a happy medium, that had the benefit of being very easy/fast to code in.

Thank you for letting me know about the bugs! Strange, I didn’t change the win condition code. Should be a fun one to sus out.

endless mode would be good, so that we can see all the transformations.  it's beatable on hard so you could lock it behind that

Great news then! I just uploaded the 1.1 update, which includes a (nearly) endless mode. You start with 999 health.

Unplayable, cannot get to 1st review

Sorry you had difficulties with the game! It is honestly very hard, the next release (coming out in a few weeks) will have a "sandbox mode" with 999 life, if you'd like to revisit.

I'm still trying to figure out the game. But one thing I do know, is that it looks like it could work as a mobile game. I don't mind the AI used for the cards, since it's just the cards and nothing else

Thank you for the comment and for your understanding with the cards. I agree, AI art isn't the best solution, but I'm not an artist, so I wouldn't have been able to make this without it. Well, at least not offer it for free.

I need tips and tricks to beat this game.

For starters, don't force yourself to draw new cards when out of free draws, unless you absolutely need to. Make sure you have willpower cards to regain that stat, and obey cards to delete useless ones, the earlier you get it, the better. When choosing a task, compare the cards they give as rewards, many cards may look identical but have better stats. If you have a bad round, don't worry, use that to purge all the bimbo and unwanted cards you just drew.

So yeah, it's a pretty neat game, hope you have fun :)

It would be nice if leftover draws restored willpower or carried over to the next hand so you have some type of reward for using less cards

I think the reward for using less draws is you add less bimbo cards to your deck

super fun! the gameplay takes a second to grasp, but once you've gotten it down, it is a very enjoyable loop. its a solid engine for you to continue building on. the game as a whole could use more in-depth writing. you are a creator known for your very descriptive and excellent slow bimbofication stories, so I was a bit sad to find that touch absent, but I can only assume you are refining the gameplay before polishing the game with more text.

the AI art is disappointing, but bearable assuming they are placeholders. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to doing some of the artwork myself! if you'd be interested, I'd like to take a crack at contributing a second playable character. I'm working on another game that uses a similar paper-doll system and could use the practice! Let me know if you'd like to discuss it in more detail.

Sorry for the slow reply, you're absolutely welcome to create a new version of the cards and/or character! Would love to see it!

A charming cardgame that's very well made in a UX perspective, despite the AI artwork. One minor issue I've noticed is that the cards' abilities can be a little tough to select, because the buttons are rather small and when your cursor slips the button vanishes because the other card will be drawn over the button. The special "show hand" menu is nice (and I wish more card games had them) but that menu also vanishes after it's used, which can be annoying when you have a strategy planned out in your head already but the game slows you down.

Also whenever you're forced to take a bimbo card the title for that screen is called "Bibmo +1" which is obviously a typo. One of the cards is also noticeably called "Obidient" instead of "Obedient"

Overall it's made me a little curious to play friday myself, because I still have it sitting on my bookshelf, unplayed 😅

Thank you, that's really useful feedback!

how do you open the game?

Download the file from the game page, extract, and open the file named TGIF.html

I tried but I couldn't find that file it could possibly be because I use windows

No, this is an html game, so it should work on any system with a web browser. I built it on a windows machine. When you download the file, how do you extract it?

I left click on the file and select the extract all option

Great! That should create a new folder in the same directory called “TGIF_1.0AI”. If you open that, you should see a file called “TGIF.html”. Double click that and the game should start.

I had a lot of fun figuring out this game, even though it was a bit confusing at first, but the gameplay loop is fun. A minor downside is that there doesn't seem to be enough rounds to get through all the transformations, especially if you're forced to pick the same transformations because it's a card you need for later rounds. Maybe an endless mode could be made?

That's a great idea, thank you!

I'll be honest, you're basically my favorite content creator in this space but this game didn't click with me. The mechanics were tough to figure out, even though I eventually did, but the transformations mostly lacked any impact or meaning, in part because there's no narrative cohesion. I think your other games did a great job of establishing a character and an impact to every transformation. This game has some character in the initial intro card where he comments on the offer letter, but it's all gone after that and I feel like nothing I did really mattered. The game is well made but probably not something I'd play again. Still looking forward to future projects though.

Thank you for the kind words, and no worries, not every game will click with every player. This was actually a side project I worked on whenever I got writer’s block during Little Red & Changing Time - so it’s fair to point out there’s not much to the narrative. Not to worries though, the project I’m working on now is more in line with the others :)

I think it's an interesting game. However, I feel like it's made with the assumption that you know the original work and have played the game to some extent.

In my country, the game is so unknown that it doesn't even come up in search engines, so I didn't know anything about the rules or strategies of "Friday," so I was unable to successfully play this game.

It would be nice if there were some rules and playing explanations within the game.

It was on the top screen of the game! sorry! I completely overlooked it.

Thank you for the feedback! Another player also pointed out they couldn’t find the “How to” button either, so I need to improve that point. 改善リストへ!

Found a bug. If you shuffle cards when you don't have enough cards in deck, then after every turn there is a message "Card is unidentified".

And another (but it can be just misinterpretation). If you use double on card you already doubled, nothing happens.

Thanks for these, I'll put them on the dev list

I wish there was a "Forgotten 2" game.

I will agree Forgotten is probably my favorite of DesiDee's games though this one is quite enjoyable if incredibly hard. I haven't even beaten an 'easy' match yet.
